How long are the therapy sessions?

A standard individual therapy session at Mums Matter is 50 minutes long. This is the typical “therapy hour,” which allows time for you to settle in, discuss your concerns, and still have a few minutes at the end for wrapping up and planning next steps. If you are attending with a partner or for a specialized service (like group programs), the session length might be slightly different – but we will inform you beforehand (for example, couples sessions might be 60 minutes). We find 50 minutes is a good length for most mothers, as it provides enough time to delve into issues without being too exhausting, especially if you’re also caring for a baby.
