Telehealth means doing your therapy session via video call or telephone instead of in person. At Mums Matter, we often use Google Meet for video sessions – it’s private, secure, and easy to use (What is telehealth and how could it help me? - Mums Matter). Telehealth allows you to attend therapy from the comfort of your home, which is a big help if you have a young baby or mobility challenges. To use telehealth, you’ll need:
A stable internet connection (for video sessions)
A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera (for video) or just a phone for voice calls
A quiet, private space where you feel comfortable talking
We suggest testing your Meet link beforehand to ensure it’s working. Many parents appreciate telehealth because it removes travel time and you can even have your baby with you during the session. If you’re unsure about online therapy, we’re happy to guide you through it – most clients adjust quickly and find it very convenient.
