How often will I need to come, and how many sessions will I need?

The frequency and number of sessions needed can vary for each person. In your first session, you and your psychologist will discuss a plan that suits your needs – some parents start with weekly sessions, others fortnightly, and some might just come for a few sessions spread out over time.

Our aim is to help you feel better as quickly as possible while providing enough support to address your concerns thoroughly. Some people find a few sessions are sufficient to get back on track, while others benefit from longer-term support throughout the perinatal period. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer.
We will regularly review your progress together. You are never locked into a certain number of sessions – you can decide to pause or conclude therapy at any point, and you’re welcome to return if you need support again in the future.
